One of the first carts I ever restored was an original Victorian market porters cart, from which I took a number of patterns and templates. Since then I continue to restore old ones but also build new ones using the original patterns.
It was a tradition to carve the name of the owner and the market it was used at on the wheels, a service I still offer but these days it tends to be the house name, or commercial name.
If you commission a cart you get to decide on style, colours, and level of decoration. there is also a choice of solid rubber or traditional steel rims to the wooden wheels.
