The standard tub is made from Douglas Fir we do offer "museum quality" versions made from Ash or Beech these are to special order, please contact for pricing .
The rope used is 12mm synthetic sisal . By using this type of rope it becomes possible to make a tub as it reduces the stretch in the bands, and the rope doesn't rot when it gets wet.
As with all bare wood buckets and tubs I always advise slathering as much beeswax polish as you can get onto the inside before you fill it up with water as this will seal the timber and prolong the life of
